When you are a solopreneur, it’s like a rollercoaster – one day you’re super motivated, have thousands of ideas for new blog post, email newsletter, social media post, but let’s face it – there are also days when you feel like giving up, you question every decision, thinking “Why the heck I’m even doing this?!” and it’s ok. The beauty of having your own business and being your own boss is that you can always take a break and no one would blame you, especially when you work with or for other business owners and they been there too.
I’m not sure if you’re following me on Instagram, but since the end of March, I have been sharing motivational and inspirational quotes every Wednesday. Trust me, even successful online entrepreneurs with 5-figures on a bank account every month, have those days when nothing makes sense, they compare themselves to 6-7-figures bloggers, feel the pressure and be overwhelmed.
Everyone eventually, feel like they want to be someone else (the person who already succeed not this new blogger who has like 100 page views a month), want to be finally “rewarded” for hustling so much and get this sale of the client already.
When you build your web presence from scratch, one day you enjoy the little wins (yay to 50 page views or new 5 Instagram followers) and the next day you feel like it’ll take forever to be successful, to get what those amazing 6-figures bloggers have. But guess what? If you really think about it, you’ll realize, that your goal for this week, month, the year is NOT to have what people who worked YEARS (so to be in the situation with thousands of dollars per day.)
“Don’t compare someone else’s end to your beginning”
You’ll realize that for YOU to be successful, you really want this one client, or these $100 or something small, but significant to someone who just started their blog 3 months ago!
You can’t expect that the $100000 will pop on your bank account without trying, without those long days and nights. I know it’s harsh, I might just get you very upset and angry, but don’t worry – I’ve been there (I still am). I don’t think you can really stop wonder about improving your business, your skills, your blog post etc. especially if you’re determined and perfectionist (like me) and it’s really good actually, but you have to remember to enjoy every little success and don’t set up crazy goals, impossible to achieve in specific period of time.
You don’t have to earn $6000000 in your first month of blogging to be successful and feel fulfilled. I mean, if you just finish college or quit your full-time job – trust me – you’ll be grateful and doing happy dance when you see the first web visitor, follower, email subscriber or the first $ on your account, because deep down, you were worried that, no one would see your amazing blog post, like your work, follow you or give you their email, cause you’re just new at this, right?
I’ve been doing this for a while, but I’m so grateful for every person who enter my website, every like on social media, every follower, every email subscriber and so on. When I realize, that someone trusts me, like what I write, respect my expertise as Graphic Designer, my heart just grows and all those hours learning, improving, working my butt off really pays off and it’s even more important than any money.
When you feel like giving up, think about all the amazing things you already achieved. Enjoy every single moment of that, be grateful to have loyal readers. Remember, why you doing what you do, why you decide to be an entrepreneur, change your like 360 degrees. Don’t focus on the downsides of running an online business, be happy and be yourself.
Time for some more motivation. I’d like you to see my favourite quotes, posted on my Instagram account and when you have those giving up days, just go back to this post and remember why you doing what you do 😉 PS. This post will be updated so make sure to check it from time to time, you might find a quote which will let you see things from another perspective 😉 Keep it going, love!

As I’ve mentioned a previous week, your job fills huge part of your life, so the best way to be happy is to do what you’re passionate about, something that doesn’t feel like work, more like making your dreams come true. During a time when we grow our business (every day), we tend to forgot to be happy, to be grateful for the opportunity to be our own #boss and enjoy all the little things. Except for having an awesome job, don’t forget to have other hobbies and activities that make you smile. For me is signing Lana Del Rey’s songs 😉 Do you do things that make you happy? What makes you happy? xo Zdjęcie zamieszczone przez użytkownika Adrianna Glowacka | MintSwift (@mintswiftdesign)
